How will you make an impact in this role?

Global Merchant and Network Services (GMNS) is the merchant acquirer, processor, and marketing partner for the millions of merchants around the world who accept American Express Cards.

The Strategy, Planning & Enablement (SP&E) Analyst role is an integral part of the Global Strategy, Operations & Performance (GSOP) SP&E team that supports the performance and analysis for the GMNS business across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region and is critical in supporting GMNS business needs through the development of risk and control programs, data analysis and insights, accurate tracking of results and implementation of process efficiencies.

The successful candidate should have strong technical, analytical, and process-oriented mindset. They should feel comfortable collaborating with internal customers across the globe and demonstrate thought leadership and professionalism while performing job responsibilities.

Key responsibilities:

This role will collect, organize, track and manipulate data to support:

·       Control and Audit programs.

·       Answering strategic questions and problems.

·       Development of forecasts and other statistical measurements.

·       Support the annual Planning Process which includes forecasting, target setting and management of incentive programs.

·       Identify opportunities to enrich existing reports, streamline processes, and produce new content/analytics, in partnership with global and regional stakeholders.

·       Support the infrastructure projects.

·       Fulfil ad-hoc requests, with high quality and timely response.

·       Identify opportunities to optimize, streamline and automate programming codes, processes and reports.

·       Perform detail testing and validation and align with stakeholders on final outputs.

·       Documentation of the programming codes, processes and reports.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

·       Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.

·       Technical skills:

o   SQL programming

o   PySpark, Python

o   Tableau

o   Advanced user of Excel and Power-point.

·       Comfortable working with complex programming codes and high quantity of data.

·       Strong communication / influence skills and ability to build relationships across teams.

·       Self-starter with exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills.

·       Ability to work well under stress and meet tight deadlines.

·       Comfortable adapting to changing priorities and processes.
