Position Summary

The Senior Product Development Engineer will be responsible for leading and contributing to the design, development, and deployment of innovative technology products. This role involves solving complex technical challenges, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams, and driving product innovation from concept to completion.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead product design, prototyping, and development across hardware and software components.
  • Analyze, identify, and resolve complex engineering and system-level challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, testing, and manufacturing to ensure high-quality product delivery.
  • Develop, configure, and test networking equipment such as routers and switches.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for product designs, architecture, and validation procedures.
  • Implement best practices in software development, configuration management, and system integration.
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives by introducing new technologies and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and organizational quality processes.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of product design, development cycles, and system integration.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or equivalent.
  • Experience in database management and operating system builds (Linux/Unix preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
  • Familiarity with embedded systems, hardwaresoftware co-design, or telecommunication systems.
  • Understanding of network protocols and communication interfaces (TCP/IP, Ethernet, etc.).
  • Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git) and development tools (e.g., Jenkins, Jira).
  • Knowledge of satellite communication systems is an added advantage.
