Bleaching Manager- Woven

Key Skills Required:

• Strong technical knowledge of woven fabric bleaching processes (cotton, polyester-cotton, linen, etc.)
• Understanding of continuous and batch bleaching machines
• Knowledge of chemical recipes, optical brighteners, and peroxide control
• Hands-on experience in process optimization and quality troubleshooting
• Leadership and team management skills
• Proficiency in production documentation, ERP, and data analysis

Key Responsibilities:1. Production Planning & Execution

• Plan and execute daily bleaching schedules as per the dyeing/finishing production plan.
• Allocate machines, manpower, and materials efficiently to meet production targets.
• Ensure that the bleaching process achieves desired whiteness, absorbency, and fabric handle suitable for subsequent dyeing and finishing.

2. Process & Quality Control

• Standardize and monitor bleaching recipes and parameters (temperature, time, chemical dosage, water flow, etc.).
• Ensure consistent whiteness index and fabric quality with minimal reprocessing.
• Conduct root cause analysis of defects such as uneven bleaching, pinholes, or fabric damage and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Coordinate with laboratory and quality control teams for shade and absorbency checks before dyeing.

3. Technical & Process Development

• Introduce new bleaching chemicals, enzymes, and eco-friendly process improvements for cost and water savings.
• Optimize chemical consumption, process time, and machine efficiency.
• Support trials for new fabric qualities and process innovations.

4. Manpower & Resource Management

• Supervise and guide bleaching supervisors, operators, and helpers in all shifts.
• Conduct skill training and ensure adherence to SOPs and safety standards.
• Monitor manpower utilization and maintain discipline on the shop floor.

5. Machine & Maintenance Coordination

• Ensure smooth operation of bleaching machinery (J-Box, Kier, Continuous Bleaching Range, etc.).
• Coordinate with the maintenance department for preventive maintenance and quick rectification of breakdowns.
• Ensure calibration and upkeep of dosing systems and control panels.
