Role & responsibilities

  • Machine Setup & Operation

Operate and maintain offset printing machines (Komori, MIB, Shinohara, Sakurai).

Set up the machine for different leaflet and carton jobs, ensuring correct plate, ink, and paper settings.

Perform trial runs and proof checks before bulk production.

  • Quality Assurance

Ensure color consistency, registration accuracy, and print quality throughout the production run. Inspect printed sheets periodically and make necessary ink/water adjustments. Maintain records of print quality checks and job parameters.

  • Production Efficiency

Achieve daily and shift-wise production targets with minimal wastage.

Coordinate with the planning and QC teams for smooth job flow and timely deliveries.

Identify and report machine issues, breakdowns, or deviations immediately.

  • Maintenance & Upkeep

Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of printing machines.

Assist maintenance team during major repairs and machine calibration.

Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the press area.

  • Documentation & Reporting

Record daily production logs, job cards, and consumption reports accurately.

Follow all SOPs and ISO/GMP guidelines related to printing operations.

Ensure compliance with safety and quality systems in the printing division.

Preferred candidate profile

Education: ITI / Diploma in Printing Technology or equivalent qualification.

Experience: 3 to 10 years hands-on experience in Offset printing machines in Leaflet or Carton printing .

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with multicolor offset machines (Komori / Mitsubishi / Shinohara / Sakurai)

Basic understanding of color management, ink viscosity, and paper GSMs.

Knowledge of machine trouble-shooting and preventive maintenance.
