Looking for an analytical mind to decode international trade trends and ensure accuracy in global tariff research.

A global trade analyst is a professional who specializes in analyzing and evaluating international trade patterns, trends, and policies. Their main role is to provide insights and recommendations to organizations, governments, and businesses involved in international trade.

About The Role

  • Data Validation and Analysis: Collecting and analyzing data related to international trade, such as import/export volumes, tariff rates, quotas, trade agreements, and economic indicators. This involves utilizing statistical methods, data visualization tools, and software to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
  • Weekly progress reporting to Team Leads and Manager.
  • Conducting tariff research of different countries to check amendments publish by government on trade tariffs, policies, FTA agreements, rules and regulations.
  • Validation of the daily updates with accuracy and meeting the deadline.
  • Trade Policy Analysis: Evaluating the implications of potential policy changes and providing insights on the benefits, risks, and opportunities associated with different trade policy scenarios.
  • Continuous Learning and Skill Development: Continuously upgrading skills in data analysis, economic analysis, market research methodologies, and trade-related topics. Learning about new tools, technologies, and industry trends to improve analysis capabilities and stay ahead in the field.
  • Coordinate work with other departments.
  • Ensure and implement consistency standards across the validation processes.

About You

  • Bachelor's in economics, international business, trade, finance, or a related field is often required.
  • 2+ Years of experience into Global Trade Management.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills are necessary to gather, analyse, and interpret trade data. Proficiency in statistical analysis, data visualization, and using software tools such as Excel, statistical software, and databases is important.
  • Experience in collecting, analysing, and interpreting trade data, conducting statistical analysis, and utilizing data visualization tools.
  • Experience dealing with Government Tariffs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, contacts from internal teams.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently under strict deadlines and balance competing priorities.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office and specifically Excel, AI Tools.
