
Mechanical Maintenance Executive

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform servicing, preventive maintenance, and replacement of old or faulty equipment to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, remove obsolete machinery, and install new machines with proper calibration and safe practices.
- Provide technical support, training, and guidance on the operation and upkeep of new equipment.
- Prepare technical presentations (e.g., software evaluation reports with recommendations for procurement).
- Maintain and calibrate primary and secondary instruments in the Research Lab.
- Ensure proper and safe power supply to machines; run equipment, monitor performance, and initiate corrective measures.
- Assemble, repair, and overhaul machines as required.
- Execute both scheduled and breakdown maintenance of plant and laboratory equipment.
- Carry out routine checks, preventive servicing, and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
- Manage process control, automation systems, and boiler operations with compliance to statutory norms.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of pulleys, motors, pumps, gear assemblies, and other moving components.
- Handle process instruments (thermal probes, pH probes, sensors, etc.) and integrate them into process control & operations.
- Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all maintenance-related safety activities ensuring adherence to statutory safety guidelines and company safety norms.
- Take full accountability for safe maintenance practices including Lock OutTag Out (LOTO), risk assessments, work permits, and safe handling of machines and utilities.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of maintenance work, identify hazards, and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain records of safety checks, audits, and compliance documentation related to maintenance operations.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years experience in Pigments & Dyes, Specialty Chemicals, Process, or Utility industries.
- Hands-on experience in maintenance of process equipment at production/plant sites.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with safety-first mindset.
- Ability to independently plan, execute, and document maintenance & safety compliance without external of support.
- Well-organized, observant, with good written & verbal communication.
- Ability to work with production targets and manage multiple maintenance priorities.
- Team player, adaptable to multi-disciplinary environments, with minimal supervision.
