Job Description: Sr. Algo Software Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Algorithmic Software Developer to design, develop, and optimize high-performance trading algorithms and related systems. The ideal candidate will combine strong programming skills with deep understanding of market microstructure and quantitative trading strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, develop, and maintain low-latency algorithmic trading systems.
  • Design and implement efficient trading strategies using C++/Python (or similar high-performance languages).
  • Collaborate with quantitative researchers to translate models into production-ready code.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance live trading algorithms for performance and reliability.
  • Optimize code for speed, scalability, and fault-tolerance.
  • Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 3-4 years of professional software development experience, preferably in financial trading or high-frequency systems.
  • Strong proficiency in C++/Python/Java and multithreaded, low-latency programming.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Experience with market data feeds, FIX protocols, and exchange connectivity.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of equity, futures, or options markets.
  • Familiarity with quantitative finance, statistical modeling, or machine learning.
  • Expertise in distributed systems, cloud computing, or GPU acceleration.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and team-collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
