About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled App Modernization Engineer to lead the transformation of legacy applications into modern, scalable, and cloud-native solutions. In this role, you will assess existing applications, design modernization strategies, and implement solutions that improve performance, scalability, and maintainability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the adoption of modern development practices and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze legacy applications to identify modernization opportunities and challenges.
  • Design and implement modernization strategies including rehosting, replatforming, refactoring, or rebuilding applications.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and operations teams to migrate applications to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Utilize microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless architectures to modernize applications.
  • Ensure applications meet performance, security, and compliance requirements post-modernization.
  • Develop automation tools and CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable deployment.
  • Optimize application infrastructure for cost, performance, and scalability.
  • Provide technical guidance on cloud-native development best practices.
  • Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and resolving application issues during and after migration.
  • Document modernization processes, architectures, and best practices.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications related to cloud platforms (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Developer Associate).
  • Experience with serverless technologies (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and tools.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
