Job Role - System administrator

Location - Airoli

  • Monitoring all Solaris and Linux Servers
  • Solaris servers HW firmware update.
  • Creation of groups and user accounts, profiles, security, rights, disk space, and process monitoring.
  • Efficiency in Solaris OS installation and OS patching.
  • Installation, configuration of Solaris application, web and database servers.
  • Configuring and administering NFS and VNC sessions on Sun Solaris server environment.
  • Solaris server consolidation with creating zone and LDOM.
  • Solaris LDOM creation, modification & deletion.
  • Solaris zone creation, modification & deletion.
  • Resource management for Solaris Non-Global zone and LDOM.
  • Solaris security through secure services, ports & limiting access with TCP wrappers.
  • Scheduling Solaris servers & database online / offline backups.
  • Installation and upgrade of kernel level patches and software packages on Solaris operating system.

  • Resolving day to day issue related mount points, CPU/Memory high utilization, Veritas client installation, Patching, Server Hardening, VAPT related point resolving, new zpool creations, DB users and group creation, raw LUN formatting as per the DB

  • Ownership of Solaris infra and support activities
