Role Description
7 Rays Semiconductors
is looking for Physical Design Engineers to join our Bangalore team. This opportunity is open only for immediate and short-notice joiners who are passionate about cutting-edge chip design and ready to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end Physical Design flow from RTL to GDSII across advanced technology nodes (5nm, 3nm, or below).
- Perform floor planning, placement, CTS, routing, and timing closure using industry-standard tools.
- Optimize for power, performance, and area (PPA) across partitions.
- Conduct DRC/LVS checks, STA, IR drop, EM, and SI analysis for sign-off.
- Collaborate closely with RTL, DFT, and verification teams for design convergence.
- Debug and resolve issues in timing, power, and physical verification.
Required skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Physical Design Implementation.
- Proficiency in EDA tools such as Synopsys ICC2/Fusion Compiler, Cadence Innovus, or equivalent.
- Strong command of Static Timing Analysis (STA) tools like PrimeTime or Tempus.
- Experience in physical verification tools (Calibre, PVS, Pegasus).
- Knowledge of scripting (Tcl, Perl, Python) for design automation.
- Familiarity with low-power and multi-voltage domain design methodologies.
