Risk Manager-Automations-FORGE, FinOps Risk, Governance

*DESCRIPTION*
Amazon is seeking a Risk Manager to support the Finance Operations (FinOps) Controllership and Self-Inspection team at Amazon. We're looking for someone who can take lead in understanding complex FinOps processes and identify the full range of risks related to processes, regulatory compliance, organization, policy, and technology. This individual will drive risk & compliance automations using GenAI tools. You will create and introduce mechanisms to push the technical horizons and work with latest technologies (including AI/ML tooling) to reduce the overall risk of the organisation. You will think big about the larger risk strategy, align direction and influence organizational priorities, and be persistent to deliver the features and technologies to make those visions reality. FinOps processes stay ahead of risks associated with process design, internal control effectiveness, computer system integration, and other relevant areas and your goal is to align these automations to mitigate the risk and improve efficiency and reduce fiction.

Successful Candidates Must Be Eager To Dive Deep Into Processes And Have a Proven Record Of Delivering Meaningful Risks And Recommendations To The Business. The Candidate Should Have Outstanding Auditing Skills, Problem Solving Skills, Systems And Process Knowledge, And a Passion For Customer Service. Specific Core Responsibilities Are Below:

• Perform risk assessment to device the right solutions and mitigating strategies with technology and automations within FinOps Services
• Perform dive-deep and evaluate design and effectiveness of FinOps controls to ensure SOX compliance
• Evaluate policy and process exceptions and devise mechanisms that improve and raise the bar on controllership with respect to policies and other requirements
• Support external regulatory and statutory auditor requests, if needed.

Finance Operations Risk, Governance & Experience (FORGE)'s mission is to improve controllership across Finance Operations (FinOps) by identifying risks, protecting assets, designing to-be controls, testing existing controls, and as appropriate, assisting process owners with risk mitigation or remediation. In addition, FORGE collaborates with teams within and beyond FinOps on risk assessments, compliance, corporate social responsibility, regulatory, and governance matters. FORGE also serves as FinOps's program manager for the global external audit, provides controllership support for non-integrated subsidiaries, and is the contact for FinOps owned Internal Audit findings.

"Risk Manager-Automations-FORGE"

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or MBA in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field

4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience

3+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related discipline

• Ability to build solutions using AWS services with hands-on experience in working with GenAI/ ML tools and end to end AWS services. Also, prior experience handling confidential & PII information.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or MBA in business, data science, public administration, finance, engineering, human resources or related field

• Ability to build solutions using AWS services with hands-on experience in working with GenAI/ ML tools and end to end AWS services.
• 3+ years of program/ product requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
• Advanced to Expert understanding working with SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, Quicksight etc
• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable solutions and influencing senior leadership

*BASIC QUALIFICATIONS*

• 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
• Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
• Master's degree or equivalent
