Sustainability Consultant

Job description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant/Principal Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sustainability, energy transition, climate change, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices and frameworks. As a Consultant/Principal Consultant, you will be responsible for managing and executing projects, conducting research, developing project plans and proposals, and providing expert guidance to clients. This role requires strong communication, relationship-building, and technical writing skills.

Project Management

• Manage and execute sustainability, energy, and ESG-related projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Develop detailed project plans, proposals, technical reports, and presentations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless project implementation.
• Present research findings, technical insights, and actionable recommendations to clients and stakeholders.

Business Development

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in sustainability, decarbonisation, and energy management.
• Support proposal development, client pitches, and strategic growth initiatives.
• Collaborate across teams to design integrated sustainability and energy transition solutions.
• Contribute to thought leadership and knowledge-sharing across the organisation.

Client Engagement

• Understand client requirements and define project scope, methodologies, and deliverables.
• Lead project execution and client discussions under the guidance of senior executives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring consistent communication and high satisfaction.
• Translate technical energy and emissions data into practical insights for decision-makers.

Technical & Analytical Expertise

• Apply engineering knowledge (Bachelor's/Master's level) to address sustainability, energy efficiency, and climate challenges.
• Conduct energy audits, carbon assessments, and renewable feasibility studies to identify reduction opportunities.
• Work with data scientists and analysts to manage, model, and interpret client emissions and energy datasets.
• Utilise analytical and digital tools for carbon accounting, energy performance tracking, and sustainability reporting.
• Support compliance with key frameworks and standards

Communication & Writing

• Prepare high-quality reports, technical papers, and client presentations with a balance of analytical depth and clear messaging.
• Communicate complex sustainability and energy data to diverse audiences, including executives, engineers, and policymakers.
• Contribute to external communications such as case studies, whitepapers, and sustainability disclosures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Strong project management and execution skills.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills
• Proficiency in technical writing and research.
• Familiarity with ESG frameworks, sustainability regulations, and data analytics tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹22,000.00 per month
