Embedded Linux Developer

  • Design, develop, and optimize embedded software using C/C++ and Java in a Linux environment.
  • Work on Linux user space and kernel space, including device drivers and kernel modules.
  • Collaborate with hardware teams on board bring-up and custom peripherals.
  • Integrate and validate new hardware platforms with embedded Linux OS.
  • Debug and resolve low-level system issues (kernel panics, memory leaks, hardware/software interactions).
  • Participate in system architecture design, code reviews, and write clear documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors/Master's in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and good working knowledge of Java.

  • Expertise in Embedded Linux:

  • Linux kernel internals

  • Device tree configuration
  • U-Boot / Bootloaders

  • Kernel module development

  • Experience with Yocto, Buildroot or similar Linux build systems.

  • Knowledge of I2C, SPI, UART, USB protocols.
  • Strong debugging skills (GDB, strace, perf, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
