We are looking for highly skilled Certified Radiology Coders (US Healthcare Market) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in coding diagnostic and interventional radiology services, with a deep understanding of US healthcare coding guidelines, payer policies, and compliance standards. This role is critical in ensuring accurate claim submission, maximizing reimbursement, and reducing denials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for radiology services, including diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures.
  • Review physician documentation for completeness and compliance, ensuring coding accuracy in line with AAPC/AHIMA guidelines.
  • Stay updated on current coding rules, payer-specific guidelines, and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with physicians, billers, and compliance teams to resolve coding discrepancies.
  • Audit coded charts periodically to identify trends, errors, and areas for improvement.
  • Support denial management teams by providing coding clarification and corrections as needed.
  • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and organizational policies regarding patient data.

Qualifications

  • Certification required: CPC, COC, CIRCC, RCC, or equivalent (AAPC or AHIMA recognized).
  • Minimum 2-3 years of radiology coding experience (diagnostic and interventional).
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and radiology-specific coding guidelines.
  • Familiarity with payer rules, NCCI edits, and LCD/NCD coverage policies.
  • Proficiency in coding and billing software, EHR systems, and claim submission platforms.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in both hospital outpatient and physician practice coding.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in denial resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with radiologists and billing staff.
