Project Engineer

About the Role:
The primary purpose of this position is to work closely with the Project Manager, RPMs, Circle Leads and field installation teams to ensure that all the links are deployed with standard guidelines provided by customer(s) and Aviat. A SME to ensure all transmission related guidelines, SOP are prepared, circulated and followed in the field. SPOC for handling all technical issues raised by customer(s) and reported feedback by field teams and sales team (APAC/HQ). To ensure to provide online support to field teams for any technical issue related to backhaul/NMS/Media etc. Also prepares reports by troubleshooting, monitoring and analyzing and provides summarized information to internal stake holders and to customer(s).

Responsibilities:

• Coordination and supervision of assigned region, including project delivery, acceptance, troubleshooting media and NMS related support.
• Governance and provide support to subcontractor teams in the implementation of the project within stipulated timeframe related to backhaul and NMS.
• Work as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for projects related tasks on real time basis to avoid any kind of delay in Project delivery.
• Coordination with Customer(s) proponents and Aviat Project Team.
• Design and execute end-to-end connectivity tests to validate Media provisioning.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.
• Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
• Coordination and supervision of media related activities along with Circle Leads, RPMs, Central team(s).
• Supervise subcontractor teams to make sure that all installations follow Customer(s) and Aviat Engineering Standards & compliances related to transmission backhaul and configuration.
• Analysis of Network Performance along with configuration.
• Preparation and circulation of performance of network reports prepared and circulate Network Analysis reports and dashboard to internal stake holders on daily/weekly/monthly/yearly basis.
• Support in troubleshooting activities and other technical concerns as per requirements
• Provide regular progress report to Project Management Team of customer as well as internal stakeholders/management for any technical issue or requirement of stakeholders
• Escalate issues, keep informed, advise and receive instructions and obtain the work group perspective and share information.
• Process re-engineering and automation drives to have timely, errorless, real time and automated reports availability to management and customer(s).

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience 8-10 years in executing microwave deployment Planning, operational planning and maintenance of MW Network, EMS/NMS configuration and management and backhaul transmission/transport readiness.
• Customer Handling, Strong Analytical skills, Owning and handling technical aspects of transport network are a must.
• Strong understanding of microwave communication principles, RF engineering, and microwave equipment (antennas, radios, waveguides, etc.),
• Proficiency in microwave path design tools (Pathloss, iBwave), spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers, transmission servers for diverse OEM (Aviat, Ericsson, Ceragon, Huawei, Nokia etc.)
• Experience with Transmission technologies, EMS/NMS configurations & troubleshooting, Transport Operations and Planning.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
