Job Description

Summary

The role is responsible for working on Advanced manufacturing technology activities; specifically, but not limited to, design and development of testing/processing equipment for MRI systems, X-ray tubes, and High voltage Generators. Work in close coordination with respective segment product program managers, manufacturing process Engineers, design change chairperson, senior architect, and principal engineers to support improvements in Product Quality through actionable outcomes of Process/Product design and development. Roles and Responsibilities
  • Work in partnership with Transfer program team to design and develop testing equipment, carry out equipment verification and associated software validation working along with Vendors.
  • Write out clear ERS (Equipment requirement specifications).
  • Work along with suppliers for electrical component development and testing.
  • Develop test hardware and programs, debug, carry out root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Responsible for working with engineering teams to generate requirements for Verification & validation activities for product assembly, processing, and testing.
  • Support manufacturability actions in NPI and/or Advanced Technology programs. Support actions on process capability assessment, process layout, tooling/equipment development and QMS Design Transfer execution.
  • Ensure QMS compliance through Qualification & Validation.
  • Monitor productivity using Lean Six Sigma or related tools, while ensuring all customer commitments are timely and cost-conscious and met with quality.
  • Working along with cross-functional teams to implement quality actions.
  • Carries out Engineering design change activities, if needed, by working in close coordination with SDEs (Senior Design Engineers), Architects, Principal Engineers, and cross-functional teams of operations, quality, regulatory, and service.
  • Supports regulatory audit readiness (CFDA, GQC, UL, CSA audit, RoHS compliance, MDR transition, etc.).
  • Supports quality and regulatory audits (internal & External) as needed.
  • Involve in manufacturing standup as needed. Support Factory initiative (i.e., scrap, inventory reduction, Lean event).
Required Qualifications
  • B.E/M-tech in Electrical Engineering with 7 years relevant industrial experience.
  • Knowledge of RF technology.
  • Working knowledge of LabVIEW programming.
  • Proficiency in electrical engineering software and tools (e.g., Ansys, MATLAB).
  • Programming in C, C# & Python desirable.
  • Knowledge of In-Circuit Testing (ICT) & Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
  • Hands-on working knowledge of MRI systems and associated components desirable.
