The Opportunity

This is a rare chance to join the foundational team and build the core intelligence of a modern financial institution from scratch. As a Data Scientist, you will be a key contributor to building India's first AI-native housing finance platform. You will have an outsized influence on our most critical intellectual property: the AI models that power our credit decisioning, risk management, and operational efficiency. We are looking for a first-principles thinker who is excited to solve some of the most challenging and impactful problems in fintech today.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and deploy
  proprietary machine learning models for our core business functions, including:
• Credit Risk & Underwriting:
  Develop sophisticated models to accurately assess the creditworthiness of the informal and self-employed segments, leveraging alternative data and cash flow analysis from the Account Aggregator network.
• Proactive Collections:
  Build an Early Warning System (EWS) and bounce prediction models to identify at-risk accounts and mitigate credit losses.
• Fraud Detection:
  Use advanced techniques, including graph analytics, to identify and prevent sophisticated fraud rings.
• Sales Enablement:
  Create lead scoring and "next-best-action" models to improve the productivity of our field agents.
• Collaborate
  within a cross-functional "Pod" alongside developers, product managers, and business experts to translate business problems into data science solutions.
• Own the entire model lifecycle
  within our MLOps platform, from feature engineering and experimentation to deployment, monitoring for drift, and retraining.
• Work with a unique dataset
  , fusing traditional financial data with alternative data and proprietary information captured from our field operations.

What We're Looking For

• 2-6 years of professional experience
  as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or in a related role.
• Proven experience in building and deploying machine learning models in a production environment.
• Strong programming skills in
  Python
  and expertise with ML libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Hands-on experience with the
  AWS AI/ML stack
  , particularly Amazon SageMaker (Studio, Pipelines, Model Registry).
• Solid understanding of MLOps principles and experience with tools for model versioning, deployment, and monitoring.
• An "AI-native mindset" and a passion for leveraging the latest advancements in AI to solve real-world problems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
