Lead AEM Developer

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.

• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.

• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.

• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.

• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.

• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

To be successful as a Lead AEM Developer you should have experience with:   

• Significant experience in developing solutions in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM / CQ5). Design and build components, templates, dialogs, and workflows using AEM architecture (Sling, CRX, OSGI, JCR)

• Strong experience with middleware & micro service development using technologies such as Java, Spring Framework, Docker.

• Strong Experience with use of modern code management and CI/CD tools such as GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory.

• Leads code reviews and actively participates in providing feedback on others' designs/code.

• Working to the Agile methodology and tools including JIRA, Confluence (or similar)

• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution.

• Adopts Secure-SDLC mentality, building in secure coding practices.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Experience in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript Programming.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, backend developers, and analytics teams to build solutions for measurement of client platforms

• Knowledge of Adobe Analytics implementation using Adobe Launch.

• Work with Digital Channels to advise on our continually evolving digital strategy.

• Design and improve internal development methodologies.
