Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Regular maintenance of the substation yard with 11KV, 500 KVA transformers and a current CMD of 400 KVA. Preparation for future expansion involving multiple transformers up to 1500 KVA capacity.

  2. Maintenance of the Main Distribution Panel (MDP), APFC panel, generator control panels, and all transformers to ensure efficient performance and safety compliance.

  3. Periodic maintenance of 500 KVA generator sets, including B check services and management of Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs).

  4. Ensuring effective functioning and maintenance of the EPABX communication system.

  5. Maintaining continuous power supply through UPS units and generator support; overseeing AMCs of UPS systems to ensure reliability.

  6. Ensuring timely maintenance of air-conditioning units and water coolers; optimizing energy usage by operating AC units based on actual requirements.

  7. Planning and implementing new installations or modifications aimed at energy saving and operational efficiency.

  8. Overseeing electrical maintenance works in hostels to ensure safety and uninterrupted supply.

  9. Ensuring timely procurement of electrical materials in coordination with the Purchase Department.

  10. Coordinating with TSSPDCL officials for timely annual inspections and addressing day-to-day electrical matters.

  11. Executing additional electrical works as required, especially during inspections, special occasions, or university events.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BE/BTech) in Electrical Engineering.
  • 11KV certification is mandatory for working with high-voltage systems.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as Electrical Engineer.
