Position: Software Engineer – Java (3-8 Years Experience)

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with 3 to 8 years of experience to develop, maintain, and enhance Java-based applications in a microservices environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern frameworks, API design, and cloud-native technologies, and will contribute to delivering scalable and high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
  • Work on event-driven applications and integrate messaging systems using Kafka.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Design, develop, and consume RESTful and SOAP APIs; perform API testing using tools like Postman.
  • Collaborate with frontend teams to integrate with Angular or React UI components.
  • Utilize Hibernate/JPA for ORM and optimize data access with caching technologies like Redis.
  • Manage API gateways and security using Apigee and Keycloak for authentication and authorization.
  • Develop and deploy applications on AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Leverage Apache NIFI for data integration and workflow automation.
  • Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3 to 8 years of professional experience in software development with strong expertise in Java, especially Core Java and Spring Boot.
  • Hands-on experience designing and developing Microservices applications.
  • Proficiency in working with Kafka for messaging and event streaming.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks like JUnit and mocking with Mockito.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases including SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
  • Practical experience with RESTful API and SOAP services development and testing (using Postman).
  • Familiarity with frontend frameworks: Angular and/or React.
  • Experience with Hibernate/JPA for database interactions and Redis for caching.
  • Knowledge of API management tools such as Apigee and identity/access management with Keycloak.
  • Experience deploying and managing applications in the AWS cloud environment.
  • Exposure to Apache NIFI for data flow and processing.
  • Good understanding of unit testing principles and test-driven development (TDD).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
