Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

As Manager PDI within the Tractor Department at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will take ownership of the post-delivery inspection processes to ensure the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction are met. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the PDI operations to ensure they meet company and industry standards.
  • Developing and implementing inspection protocols that enhance reliability and compliance.
  • Collaborating closely with manufacturing and quality teams to identify and resolve product issues proactively.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives that drive operational efficiency and reduce rework rates.
  • Training and mentoring technical teams in inspection techniques and quality assurance procedures.
  • Monitoring performance metrics related to PDI activities and reporting findings to senior management.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and regulatory requirements throughout all inspection processes.
  • Fostering cross-functional communication to support seamless workflow and innovation.

BTech/BE

General Experience
  • 3 to 7 years of progressively responsible experience in manufacturing, quality control, or post-delivery inspection within the automotive or farm equipment sector.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inspection methodologies, root cause analysis, and quality improvement frameworks.
  • Experience in managing cross-departmental projects that enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Proven track record of working in a team-oriented environment and leading initiatives that drive customer satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing technologies and standards prevalent in the farm machinery industry.
  • Ability to navigate complex challenges and deliver measurable improvements in inspection throughput and accuracy.
Critical Experience
  • Critical expertise in post-delivery inspection processes specific to manufacturing operations in the farm machinery division, ensuring alignment with Mahindra's quality standards.
  • Strong leadership capabilities demonstrated through the successful management of inspection teams and quality assurance projects.
  • Proficient in implementing strategic business orientation competencies, including anticipating market trends and leveraging business opportunities to adapt inspection protocols accordingly.
  • Experience applying sustainability principles within operational workflows, balancing business objectives with environmental and social considerations.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation-led transformation and continuous quality enhancement.
