About Investment Research (IR)

As a global leader in knowledge processes, research, and analytics, youll be working with a team that specializes in global market research, working with the top-rated investment research organizations, bulge bracket investment banks, and leading asset managers. We cater to 8 of the top 10 global banks, working alongside their product and sector teams, supporting them on deal origination, execution, valuation, and transaction advisory-related projects.

What you will be doing at Evalueserve-

As an equity research analyst, the selected candidate will track specific securities and conduct a detailedanalysis covering all relevant aspects that may affect securities. The role alsoinvolves a high level of interaction with senior stakeholders on an ongoingbasis, wherein the selected candidate will be required to present work to theclient and discuss day-to-day work.

• Create and maintain MS Excel-based financial modelswith forecasts
• Conduct extensive company valuations involvingapproaches such as DCF, DDM, trading and transaction multiples, and EVA
• Benchmark companies using financial and operatingstatistics
• Prepare company profiles, earnings and flash notes, quarterly updates, coverage, sector and theme-based reports, newsletters, etc.
• Support onshore analysts in time-sensitive earningsupdate
• Track news, events, and results of the companiesunder coverage
• Track and monitor regulatory trends impacting theindustry
• Collect information from industry or sector databases
• Create presentations on industry and company researchfor marketing and roadshow activities
• Collect financial data using online and other marketsources, such as Bloomberg
• Create / maintain industry databases whereverrelevant
• Summarize investment conference calls
• Handle ad hoc research requests

What we are looking for:

• MBA / CA with 5+ years of relevant experience in equity research
• CFA Level 1, 2, or 3 (pursuing or completed) will be an added advantage
• Ability toidentify and solve issues effectively and within strict deadlines
• Strong understanding of accounting conceptsand valuation methodologies
• Expertise in building financial models withforecasting
• Good financial writing skills (beyondfactual reporting, such as company description)
• Ability tobuild client rapport and work in sync with onshore teams
• Ability towork independently and eye for detail
• Ability toidentify and solve issues effectively on time
• Proactivenessand thought leadership
• Knowledge ofdatabases, including Bloomberg, FactSet, and other financial data systems
• Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency inMS Office, especially MS Excel
• Knowledge ofVBA will be an advantage
