Role & responsibilities

  • Litigation strategy: Develop and implement the company's litigation strategy, managing all aspects of legal proceedings from pre-disputes to resolution.
  • Case management: Oversee the handling of the entire litigation lifecycle, including fact investigation, drafting legal responses, and ensuring timely filings.
  • External counsel management: Engage, supervise, and collaborate with external law firms, ensuring compliance with guidelines and managing costs.
  • Legal advice: Provide strategic legal counsel to senior management and various business units on legal risks, compliance, and dispute resolution.
  • Compliance and risk: Ensure the company's business practices, operations, and transactions comply with all applicable Indian laws and regulations.
  • Document management: Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of legal documents and agreements related to disputes.
  • Training: Support the development and delivery of legal and compliance training to internal teams.
  • Legal research: Stay updated on relevant legal developments and case law in India that may affect the company.

Preferred candidate profile

15 + years in a MNC Corporate handling complete litigation across sectors

  • Skills:

  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and drafting skills.
  • Practical experience handling litigation before various Indian forums.
