Job Summary: Assistant Manager – IT Solutions
The Resource will be part of the IT-Build team at Tata Communications, focusing on the development and testing of solutions within the Telecom OSS domain, specifically around the OSS applications. This role involves close collaboration with business leads, architects, OEM vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, integrated service delivery platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development & Testing: Lead the design, development, and testing of OSS Solutions including customizations and integrations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Interface with internal teams and vendors to ensure alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
  • Project Execution: Drive end-to-end project delivery, from initiation to implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Architecture & Design: Create and review high-level architecture (HLA) documents, participate in solution design, and ensure stakeholder sign-offs.
  • Process & Documentation: Develop solution design guidelines, integration plans, and maintain comprehensive documentation (HLD/LLD).
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with business analysts, operational users, and IT development teams to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Program Management: Manage multiple projects within the OSS domain, including procurement, planning, and execution.

Technical Expertise Required

  • Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in Spring Boot , Angular JS, REST API,Java, J2EE, Oracle db.
  • Tools & Platforms: Experience with Eclipse, SQL Developer, SVN, Soap UI, REST, Spring/Hibernate, JUnit, Jenkins, Jira, and basic knowledge of WAS.
  • Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of OSS/BSS domains, service delivery and assurance processes, and telecom technologies. Familiarity with industry standards like eTOM, ITIL, and PMBOK is preferred.
  • AI- LLM model / Langchain – Good to have.

  • Project Leadership: Ability to lead technical teams, mentor junior staff, and manage third-party delivery teams.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical solutions to senior stakeholders.
  • Global Collaboration: Comfortable working across time zones and geographies.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Customer Focus: Maintain clear communication with customers, monitor satisfaction, and build lasting relationships.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Any Technical Bachelor's degree preferably Software Engineering/CSE/Telecom
  • Experience: 3-5 years in telecom IT, with a focus on OSS systems in a Telco/SI environment
