We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Database Administrator / Developer to join our IT Operations and Support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and maintaining database systems to ensure efficiency, reliability, and security across our infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot database queries and stored procedures.
  • Support application teams with data integration and migration tasks.
  • Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Monitor performance, ensure uptime, and maintain data integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 16 years to 20 years of hands-on experience in database administration, development, or IT operations.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server).
  • Understanding of database design, performance tuning, and optimization principles.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Shell.
  • Knowledge of IT operations and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
