Role Responsibilities:
As a Medical Transcriptionist at Medico Hub Connect, you will be responsible for the following:
- Listening to recorded dictations from healthcare professionals.
- Transcribing audio files into written reports with high accuracy.
- Editing transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and clarity.
- Ensuring adherence to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of transcribed documents.
- Maintaining organized files and records of transcriptions.
- Collaborating with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies.
- Utilizing software and transcription tools effectively.
- Meeting deadlines consistently in a fast-paced environment.
- Updating and maintaining terminology databases.
- Participating in continuous education to stay updated on medical terminology.
- Analyzing and addressing transcription quality concerns.
- Providing feedback to improve transcription processes.
- Assisting in training new transcription staff as required.
- Supporting team goals and contributing to a positive work atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical transcription preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare documentation.
- Proven experience in medical transcription or related field.
- Excellent typing speed (minimum 60 words per minute).
- Proficient in using transcription software and computer applications.
- Strong listening skills and ability to discern nuances in dictations.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is advantageous.
- Ability to handle constructive feedback and implement suggestions.
- Flexibility to adjust to different specialties and dictation styles.
- Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Proven organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Willingness to pursue ongoing training and professional development.
