Job Summary

The Head of Sales & Marketing will lead the company's sales, branding, and promotional strategies within the FMCG sector. The role requires a seasoned professional with strong managerial experience, proven ability to drive sales growth, lead marketing initiatives, and execute large-scale promotional and customer-engagement activities.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales Leadership

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and market-share targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to ensure high performance and goal achievement.
  • Oversee distribution strategies and channel management to strengthen market presence.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to support planning.

Marketing & Promotion

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and product reach.
  • Drive promotional activities, including trade promotions, retail activations, and consumer offers.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of marketing initiatives with business objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and promotional campaigns.

Customer Engagement

  • Lead customer engagement initiatives such as lucky draws, coupons, loyalty programs, and in-store activations.
  • Develop customer retention strategies that enhance brand loyalty and repeat purchases.
  • Collaborate with sales partners, distributors, and retailers for joint promotional activities.

Managerial & Strategic Responsibilities

  • Oversee budgeting for sales and marketing functions, ensuring optimal ROI.
  • Prepare periodic reports on performance, forecasts, and strategic recommendations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, distributors, and partners.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and brand guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of managerial experience in the FMCG sector.
  • Strong background in sales leadership and marketing strategy.
  • Proven experience in driving promotional activities and retail marketing campaigns.
  • Hands-on experience conducting customer engagement activities such as lucky draws, coupons, in-store promotions, etc.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team-management skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
