About The Role
As a Senior Product Manager for Tide's Acquiring product, you will shape the strategy and vision to drive our product, focusing on product development product-led growth and seamless integration with Tide's platform to meet the needs of our smaller member businesses. You will be responsible for
Product Management and Product Development
- Own specific online, remote or in-person Acquiring products with the needs of smaller businesses in mind, ensuring seamless, unified user experience.
- Develop product strategy, continuously assess and prioritise feature enhancements that cater specifically to the requirements of businesses, ensuring each release delivers significant value to this target segment.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics that gauge product success, adjusting strategies based on feedback and usage patterns to optimise product impact.
Revenue Ownership & Commercial Performance
- Design market-aligned pricing strategies to drive adoption, profitability, and retention, ensuring the product's appeal to established, high-transaction businesses.
Data-Driven Product Improvements
- Leverage data insights to continuously refine product features and functionalities to the demands of smaller businesses.
- Lead experiments and A/B tests with a focus on the acquisition and profitability of smaller business customers, ensuring the product meets their specific needs.
As a Product Owner, Merchant Acquiring, you'll play a pivotal part in our growth story by developing and launching merchant acquiring.
Some Of The Things You'll Be Doing
- Owning and independently defining the product strategy, vision and roadmap for Tide's merchant acquiring products globally
- Working with the Engineering team to define and execute a scalable product architecture that will work internationally
- Assessing opportunities, understanding behaviour, testing hypotheses with data analysis
- Having end-to-end ownership of the merchant acquiring product development lifecycle
About You
You'll be entrepreneurial and have experience from a merchant acquiring business, and be familiar with the dynamics of both online and in person payments. You'll be able to bring your vision to life whilst playing a leading role within Tide's Product team, working alongside experienced product professionals and hand-in-hand with senior developers, data scientists, designers, and marketers to research, build, ship and improve the product.
What We Are Looking For
- You bring at least 3+ years of product management experience, with at least one year within Merchant Acquiring product
- You have shipped market-leading products in a fast-growing product-focused company before
- You have domain knowledge preferably in fintech / financial services or some other related field
- You possess deep knowledge and understanding of the merchant acquiring business including online and in-person / POS payments, PSPs and scheme networks. You may also have familiarity with the global payments landscape including payment fraud
- You have technical knowledge and experience with API-based products
- You are a champion for innovation, challenging the status quo and having a solution-focused approach
- You're organised, pragmatic and capable of leading a technical interdisciplinary team; we're after someone who's not afraid to get hands-on and remove any blockers that might be on the critical path to shipping
- You're comfortable working in a fast-moving company where priorities can change and processes may need to be created from scratch
- You have a track record of working seamlessly with cross-functional teams to drive successful product launches, continuous improvements, and sustainable growth
- You have a passion for solving members' and agents' pain points, coupled with your ability to apply product design thinking which sets you apart
