Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented
Purchase Engineer
with 3+ years of experience in HVAC procurement for project execution. The ideal candidate will support the procurement process by identifying suppliers, evaluating quotations, and ensuring the timely availability of materials and equipment required for HVAC installations in commercial and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in procurement of HVAC materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements.
  • Source vendors, obtain quotations, compare offers, and recommend best options based on cost, quality, and delivery schedules.
  • Review technical specifications, drawings, and BOQ to ensure material compliance.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure procurement timelines match project schedules.
  • Maintain vendor databases and support in vendor evaluation and selection.
  • Prepare purchase orders, track deliveries, and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely dispatch.
  • Handle documentation including purchase requests, approvals, and invoices.
  • Support cost control and reporting by analysing pricing trends and preparing regular reports.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of procurement experience in HVAC or MEP projects.
  • Good understanding of HVAC systems, materials, and project requirements.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software.
  • Well-organized with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred:

  • Experience in commercial or industrial HVAC projects.
  • Knowledge of import procedures and supplier compliance.
  • Certification in procurement or project management is a plus.
