As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be a hands-on leader, shaping the technical direction and mentoring a talented team of engineers. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Technical & People Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Architecture & Strategy: Define the technical roadmap, architectural patterns, and engineering best practices for our core, scalable SaaS platform.
  • FHIR & Interoperability: Lead the design and implementation of solutions utilizing the FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) standard for secure and compliant health data exchange.
  • Development & DevOps: Drive the development of high-quality code using Python (backend/APIs) and React (frontend), and own our optimized CI/CD pipeline for reliable deployments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate business goals into clear technical execution plans.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2+ years in an Engineering Manager or Senior/Staff-level role.
  • Proven experience building and scaling a SaaS platform.
  • Deep practical experience in the Healthcare Technology domain, including understanding of regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience with the FHIR standard and its implementation for health data exchange.
  • Strong proficiency in React for building modern, responsive, and performant user interfaces.
  • Expertise in Python for back-end development, API design, and data processing.
  • Solid experience with CI/CD pipeline tools and practices (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.) and GCP cloud deployment.

Nice-to-Have Skills (A Major Plus)

  • Direct, hands-on experience with EHR (Electronic Health Record) integration, including familiarity with systems like Epic, Cerner, athenahealth, etc.
  • Knowledge of AI, Machine Learning (ML), or Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts, especially as applied to healthcare data.
  • Familiarity with other healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7 v2, C-CDA).
  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
