Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced
Data Modeler
to design, develop, document, and manage logical and physical data models supporting Oracle databases, data warehouse environments, and BI reporting tools such as MicroStrategy and Business Objects. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in
data modeling, SQL, ETL principles, BI semantic modeling, and report development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage
    data models
    for normalized data warehouses and dimensional consumption layers using
    ER/Studio
    .
  • Translate
    business requirements
    into logical and physical data models.
  • Analyze source databases to identify relationships, structures, and integration points.
  • Design
    Source-to-Target Data mapping
    and transformation logic.
  • Partner with Engineering, QA, and Product teams to answer questions related to
    data lineage, business logic, and transformations
    .
  • Support QA with troubleshooting and diagnosing
    data inconsistencies
    across the BI platform.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational
    data governance, software policies, and best practices
    .

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong experience in
    data modeling, SQL, and data analysis
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    Oracle databases
    and normalization principles.
  • Familiarity with
    data warehouse architectures, ETL principles, and BI semantic modeling
    .
  • Proficiency with
    data modeling tools
    (preferably
    ER/Studio
    ).
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts in
    non-technical language
    .
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a
    collaborative team environment
    .
  • Excellent
    attention to detail, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
    .
  • Experience with BI tools like
    MicroStrategy
    and
    Business Objects
    is a plus.
