project44 is looking for a
Intern - Data Science / ML Engineering
to join our engineering team. You will work in a fast-paced Agile environment designing, building, and implementing best-in-class products for our customers around the world.

We are looking for a passionate Data Science Intern to join our data science and machine learning operations team. You will work on real-world supply chain datasets to build models, derive insights, and support ongoing projects across predictive modeling, ML model deployment and monitoring and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources.
• Develop statistical and machine learning models to solve business problems.
• Support ongoing experiments and model performance tracking.
• Work with other engineering teams to automate data pipelines and model deployments.
• Visualize insights through dashboards and reports (eg: Streamlit).
• Communicate key findings and recommendations to stakeholders clearly.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Python and libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn.
• Solid understanding of classical ML algorithms – regression and classification models, unsupervised algorithms, time series forecasting, anomaly detection
• Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation. Working knowledge of data visualization tools.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• An experimental mindset and willingness to adopt a "fail-fast" strategy
• Solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Exposure to deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow / PyTorch).
• Experience with Snowflake, Spark, or AWS/GCP platforms.
• Familiarity with MLOps concepts like model versioning, deployment and monitoring
• Prior internship or academic project involving real-world datasets.

Education

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields.
