Job Description - Laravel Developer

Amypo Technologies Pvt Ltd is hiring a Laravel / Full‑Stack Developer to build and maintain the core features of our Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning Experience Platform (LXP). You will work directly with the product and engineering teams to deliver well‑tested, scalable code—no sales or pre‑sales duties, just hands‑on development.

Key Responsibilities

Feature Development – Design, code, and unit‑test new modules (APIs, background jobs, real‑time services) in Laravel 10+ and PHP 8.

Database Design & Optimisation – Create efficient MySQL schemas, write performant queries, and tune indexes.

API Integration – Connect third‑party services (payment gateways, OpenAI, Zoom, WhatsApp Cloud) via REST / GraphQL.

Frontend Collaboration – Work with or Livewire teams to deliver cohesive user experiences.

Code Quality & Testing – Write unit, feature, and integration tests (Pest/PHPUnit); perform peer code reviews.

DevOps Support – Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Docker) and assist with containerised deployments.

Documentation – Maintain clear technical documentation for features, APIs, and architectural decisions.

Bug Fixing & Refactoring – Triage issues, refactor legacy code to follow SOLID principles, and reduce technical debt.

Required Skills & Qualifications

1+ years professional experience with PHP 8.x and Laravel (≥ 9).

Strong grasp of Eloquent ORM, migrations, policies, queues (Redis/Horizon), and event broadcasting (Laravel Reverb or Pusher).

Solid MySQL skills—query optimization, indexing, and database design.

Experience writing tests with Pest or PHPUnit and using Git/GitHub workflows.

Comfortable on Linux CLI; basic Docker knowledge for local development.

Familiarity with REST API design and JSON standards.

Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to clean, maintainable code.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to Livewire 3, , or a modern JS framework (React, Vue, ).

Experience with container orchestration (Docker Compose, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean).

Knowledge of caching (Redis), message queues (BullMQ, RabbitMQ), or real‑time sockets.

Prior work on EdTech products, SCORM/xAPI, or AI‑powered assessment tools.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
