Performs complex software engineering assignments following designated standards and procedures. Provides technical guidance, leadership, and mentorship to junior team members. Involves in conceptualizing, designing, coding, debugging, and performing development activities per company standards. Works closely with other engineering disciplines and regularly exercises substantial decision-making authority under general supervision.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Oracle (Primary) with Oracle GoldenGate (OGG).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in PostgreSQL.
  • Preferably experienced in migrating Oracle code base to PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Liquibase or similar database integration tools.
  • Prior experience in production environments.
  • Strong experience using Git (version control) and Jira (ticketing).
  • Proficient in shell scripting for automation and deployment.
  • Quick to analyze and resolve critical issues in production.
  • Experience or exposure to DBA activities is a plus.
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies required.
  • Designs, develops, and tests applications to support company products.
  • Prepares design specifications, analysis reports, and recommendations.
  • Produces high- and low-level design documents, including storyboards and interface specifications.
  • Provides end-to-end product support, including debugging, maintenance, and assisting customer services.
  • Writes reports, manuals, and procedural documents.
  • Participates in code reviews, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Mentors junior developers and contributes to knowledge-sharing.
  • Stays updated on the latest software engineering developments.
  • Supports bids, proposals, and customer variation requests.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 10–12 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proven understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
