Job Summary:
The Restaurant Stewardess is the first point of contact for guests. She is responsible for welcoming guests, managing table assignments, and supporting the front-of-house team to ensure an excellent dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Reception:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and make them feel welcome.
- Manage waiting lists and reservations effectively.
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
- Reservation & Seating Management:
- Maintain a clean and organized host/hostess station.
- Coordinate table turnover with waitstaff to ensure efficient service.
- Maintain accurate reservation records and communicate guest preferences.
- Customer Service:
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in throughout the dining experience.
- Provide information about menu items and restaurant specials when needed.
- Support Tasks:
- Assist with setting and clearing tables when required.
- Support the service team during busy periods.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the dining area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
- Proficiency in verbal communication (English; additional languages are a plus).
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
