  • Create and optimize CMM inspection programs using software such as Calypso, Camio, Arcocad or similar.
  • Conduct dimensional inspection of machined parts according to engineering drawings and GD&T requirements using CMM equipment.
  • Perform first article inspection (FAI) measurements and generate comprehensive inspection reports.
  • Analyze inspection data to identify trends, deviations, and root causes of dimensional issues.
  • Collaborate with production, MFT and quality teams to resolve quality issues related to part dimensions.
  • Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure accurate measurement capability.
  • Train and mentor junior metrology staff and operators in CMM programming and inspection techniques.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance measurement processes and reduce inspection time.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and customer-specific requirements.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of inspection programs, reports, and calibration records.
  • Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) of parts during customer audits to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Guide production and in-process teams on correcting dimensional issues during the manufacturing process.
  • Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) for all CMM inspection parts and submit them for approval.
