- Create and optimize CMM inspection programs using software such as Calypso, Camio, Arcocad or similar.
- Conduct dimensional inspection of machined parts according to engineering drawings and GD&T requirements using CMM equipment.
- Perform first article inspection (FAI) measurements and generate comprehensive inspection reports.
- Analyze inspection data to identify trends, deviations, and root causes of dimensional issues.
- Collaborate with production, MFT and quality teams to resolve quality issues related to part dimensions.
- Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure accurate measurement capability.
- Train and mentor junior metrology staff and operators in CMM programming and inspection techniques.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance measurement processes and reduce inspection time.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and customer-specific requirements.
- Maintain detailed documentation of inspection programs, reports, and calibration records.
- Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) of parts during customer audits to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Guide production and in-process teams on correcting dimensional issues during the manufacturing process.
- Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) for all CMM inspection parts and submit them for approval.
