JOB SUMMARY: The EXIM executive is responsible for executing all export-import day to day operations and is expected to support the global supply chain of raw material as well as finished goods. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of hazardous goods handling, customs procedures, and international shipping protocols, particularly relevant to lithium-based products. This position will work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, banks, law firms, consultants, insurance company and internal teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

EXIM documentation

Prepare and verify shipping documents (invoice, packing list, bill of lading draft, DG declaration, COO, shipping line /air-line documentation, delivery challan etc.). Assist compliance officer for meeting compliance requirement & support during audit.

Coordination & Logistics execution

Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transport agencies. Track shipments and follow up for timely delivery of imported raw materials and exported finished goods. Coordinate with internal departments (production, warehouse, quality, accounts) for smooth logistics execution.

Logistic coordination within plant & LSPs

Follow EXIM SOP & maintain EXIM documentation record. Visit to DGFT, port, customs, CHA office, ICD etc, whenever needed. Coordinate with LSP and ensure resolution of issues related to delays, documentation errors, or customs queries etc. Assist EXIM Specialist in various follow up / tracking & coordination with internal as well as external agencies.

Compliance Management: Assist Compliance officer in meeting requirement related to international trade laws, DGFT matters, customs regulations etc. Keep accurate records of all import/export transactions and related documentation.

Shipment Tracking: Monitor shipping status and proactively resolve delays or issues.

Reporting & Analysis: Generate reports on trade activities to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement1.

Industry-Specific Tasks

Obtain valid MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and UN certifications for lithium-ion cells from CFT & maintain in share folder. Ensure product packaging and labelling meet international safety standards for battery transport.

Stay updated on import/export restrictions related to lithium technologies and rare earth materials.

Knowledge & Skills

3-5 years of experience in EXIM & logistics role.

Familiarity with SAP, Excel, and customs Icegate, DGFT portals.

Knowledge of HS codes, INCOTERMS, custom clearance, EXIM documentation & foreign exchange regulations.

Should be able to do day to day communication independently.

Should be good in planning & prioritising tasks.

Certifications:

Foreign trade Logistics Certificate from a reputed institute

Computer proficiency.

Role Specific Qualifications/Certifications & Experience

• Experience:

a) Proven experience in EXIM & Logistics operations.

b) Previous experience of handling day to day EXIM logistics in an automotive industry.

c) Should have worked extensively with CHA, FF, transporters for various day to day issues.

d) Candidate should have knowledge related to DGFT provision as well as Icegate.

e) Should have knowledge related to monthly provision and insurance declaration.

f) Familiarity with incident management & insurance claims processing.

g) Should be able to maintain EXIM MIS and share periodic update with EXIM team.

• Qualification : Diploma in any or related field.
