Responsibilities-

Lead end-to-end pricing activities for individual and group health insurance products, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.


• Design, develop, and maintain pricing models using statistical and actuarial techniques (e.g., GLM, frequency-severity models).


• Analyze claims experience, morbidity trends, and underwriting results to recommend appropriate product pricing strategies.


• Collaborate closely with Product, Underwriting, Data Analytics, and Finance teams to structure new product offerings and modify existing products.


• Perform scenario analysis, profitability testing, and sensitivity analysis to assess pricing robustness under various market and regulatory conditions.


• Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations and actuarial standards of practice in India.


• Prepare detailed pricing reports, presentations, and documentation for management and regulatory submissions.


• Guide and mentor junior actuaries and analysts in pricing methodologies, model development, and interpretation of results.


• Monitor competitive market trends and contribute to strategic decision-making by providing actuarial insights.


• Support experience investigations and annual renewals for group health portfolios.


• Engage with external consultants and auditors for actuarial reviews, as needed.

Required Qualifications


• Progress with actuarial exams with the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIA) or equivalent


• 5+ years of experience in actuarial pricing, preferably in health insurance.


• Strong technical expertise in actuarial modeling (preferably using R, Python, SAS, or similar tools).


• Deep understanding of health insurance products, claims patterns, and morbidity trends in the Indian context.


• Knowledge of regulatory framework and compliance requirements under IRDAI.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.


• Proven experience in leading pricing projects and working cross-functionally.


• Good command of SQL and data manipulation tools is an advantage.
