Role Overview

The Studio Head will lead the Interior Design Studio, overseeing a multidisciplinary team of designers, coordinators, and project leads. The role requires a strong grasp of the entire design-to-execution process, exceptional client relationship management, and the ability to maintain design excellence across all projects. The Studio Head reports directly to the Director and plays a key role in ensuring client happiness, smooth operations, and brand consistency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design Leadership

• Guide the design team in creating innovative, functional, and client-oriented design solutions.
• Ensure every design aligns with Good Homestorys philosophy, standards, and attention to detail.
• Conduct regular design reviews, ensuring creativity meets practicality and cost efficiency.
• Stay informed about emerging design trends, new materials, finishes, and industry practices.

2. Project Management

• Oversee multiple projects from concept to handover, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Ensure strict compliance with the companys established design and execution process.
• Coordinate closely with clients, vendors, and site teams for seamless project delivery.
• Approve final design documents, BOQs, and specifications prior to execution.
• Monitor project progress to maintain quality and efficiency at every stage.

3. Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of designers, coordinators, and support staff.
• Allocate resources effectively, monitor workloads, and ensure high performance.
• Conduct internal reviews, training, and guidance sessions to enhance process knowledge and design quality.
• Build a collaborative and accountable studio culture.

4. Client Interaction & Experience Management

• Engage directly with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and expectations.
• Present design ideas, concepts, and material selections with clarity and confidence.
• Ensure client satisfaction throughout the design and build journey.
• Handle escalations and design changes with transparency and professionalism.
• Personally conduct Experience Centre demosexplaining the design process, material options, and functionality in a client-friendly way.

5. Business & Operational Support

• Support management in business development and design presentations for new clients.
• Ensure adherence to all company processes, documentation formats, and quality benchmarks.
• Collaborate with procurement, execution, and finance teams for alignment and efficiency.
• Contribute to achieving profitability goals through effective design management and client retention.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Interior Design / Architecture.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in the interior design industry.
• Must have a clear understanding of design and execution workflows, from client briefing to project completion.
• Proven record of leading design teams and managing multiple projects successfully.
