Now Hiring: Data Engineer (Python, PySpark, Palantir Foundry) | Pune | Contract-to-Hire | Hybrid | US Client

Vopais is looking for experienced Data Engineers to join a high-impact team in Pune, supporting a major client in the utilities/energy sector. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers hands-on leadership in building robust, enterprise-scale data pipelines and analytics on the latest data platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and optimize ETL data pipelines using Python & PySpark

- Ensure end-to-end data quality, governance, and compliance

- Collaborate with solution architects and analysts to translate business needs into technical solutions

- Work extensively with Palantir Foundry (pipelines, ontology, data modeling, integration)

- Manage and transform complex data from multiple sources (structured/unstructured)

- Performance tuning and troubleshooting of big data applications

- Follow best practices in coding, testing, and deployment

Requirements :

- 3 to 10 years of relevant data engineering experience (preferably in utilities/energy or similar domains)

- Advanced programming skills in Python

- Extensive PySpark and big data handling experience

- Strong, hands-on Palantir Foundry expertise (pipelines, ontology, integration)

- Excellent SQL, data modeling, and problem-solving skills

- Good communication, stakeholder management, and team collaboration abilities

Nice to have :

- Cloud data services: AWS, Azure, or GCP

- DevOps (CI/CD) for data engineering

- Visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI, Palantir dashboards

- Domain experience in utilities/energy
