- Site preparation: Dig and prepare grave sites using a combination of heavy equipment (like backhoes) and hand tools. Afterward, they close and backfill the graves once services are complete. Landscaping and horticulture: Perform routine grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding. They also plant and care for trees, shrubs, and flowerbeds. Site management: Set up and remove equipment for burial services, including tents and chairs. They also check and repair headstones and markers as needed. General upkeep: Perform various tasks, such as removing litter, emptying trash cans, and clearing snow and other debris from pathways.
