Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef specializing in Continental Cuisine to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in kitchen leadership, menu innovation, and staff training. Preference will be given to candidates currently residing in Shillong.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production
- Design and implement innovative continental menus in line with current food trends
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain consistency and hygiene standards
- Monitor food costs, inventory, and kitchen efficiency
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with management on seasonal menus, events, and promotions
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience as a Continental Chef, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Expertise in European/Western cooking styles (Italian, French, Mediterranean, etc.)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage kitchen operations under pressure
- Knowledge of modern plating techniques and food presentation
- Formal culinary education or equivalent hands-on experience
- Candidates must currently reside in Shillong
