Job Title: Data Engineer (DataStage/Talend)

Location: Chennai , India

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in IBM Datastage and/or Talend to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust ETL processes to support enterprise data warehousing and analytics initiatives.

You will collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration, high-quality data delivery, and optimized performance across systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using IBM Datastage and/or Talend.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Optimize ETL job performance and troubleshoot data pipeline issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, consistency, and governance.
  • Perform data profiling, cleansing, and transformation tasks.
  • Implement best practices for data integration, security, and compliance.
  • Monitor and maintain ETL jobs for timely and accurate data availability.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and support production deployments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Proven hands-on experience in ETL development using IBM Datastage and/or Talend.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL architecture.
  • Proficiency in SQL with experience in relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).
  • Experience in data quality, data profiling, and metadata management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
