Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration systems, cold storage units, and cooling equipment.
  • Perform regular maintenance and inspections to prevent breakdowns.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in refrigeration systems.
  • Replace or repair defective parts, such as compressors, motors, thermostats, and valves.
  • Ensure proper refrigerant handling in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Calibrate temperature controls and test system performance.
  • Maintain service records and prepare detailed reports of work performed.
  • Provide technical support and advice to clients on system usage and maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a refrigeration technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical components, and HVAC principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
  • Skilled in using tools, testing devices, and repair equipment.
  • Understanding of refrigerants and safe handling practices.
  • Good physical condition and ability to work in varied environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Education/Certification:
  • Diploma/ITI in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or relevant field.
  • EPA/FGAS or equivalent certification (if applicable).
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • Work Environment:
  • On-site visits at residential, commercial, or industrial locations.
  • May require overtime, weekend shifts, and emergency call-outs.
