About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled
Senior Java Software Engineer
to strengthen our engineering team. This role suits a professional with extensive hands-on experience in Java, cloud-native systems, and modern development frameworks. The ideal candidate will contribute to building secure, scalable, and resilient applications, while also guiding junior engineers and collaborating across global teams.

Key Duties

  • Design and implement high-performance applications using
    Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud
    .
  • Build cloud-ready microservices leveraging
    AWS (Lambda, S3, EC2, DynamoDB)
    .
  • Develop and integrate
    RESTful and GraphQL APIs
    ; handle real-time streaming with
    Kafka
    .
  • Apply secure coding practices ensuring adherence to
    data privacy and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA)
    .
  • Conduct code reviews, provide mentorship, and share best practices with the team.
  • Partner with product, design, and cross-functional global stakeholders to deliver top-quality solutions.
  • Ensure system reliability and scalability through performance monitoring with tools like
    Datadog, Splunk
    .
  • Adopt DevOps practices including
    CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, Docker
    .

Must-Have Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong background in
    Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
    , and microservice architectures.
  • Proficiency in
    SQL and NoSQL
    databases.
  • Familiarity with
    event-driven systems
    and messaging tools.
  • Hands-on with
    TDD
    and test automation frameworks (
    JUnit, Cucumber, WireMock, JMeter
    ).
  • Good knowledge of
    application security and compliance standards
    .
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • AWS certifications are an added advantage.

Nice-to-Have

  • Background in
    financial services
    or other regulated domains.
  • Experience building
    consumer-facing products
    (retail/e-commerce).
  • Awareness of
    security frameworks
    such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS.
