About the Role:

CEDWEN Technologies is looking for a dynamic and motivated Application Engineer (Pre-Sales) who will support our sales team in positioning and demonstrating AEC softwares (Revit and others), to potential customers across India.

This role is ideal for candidates with a Civil or Architecture engineering academic background, or those who have completed professional training in Revit or similar architectural design & BIM software. You will be responsible for delivering impactful product demos, handling customer queries, providing technical support, and assisting in closing sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Pre-Sales Support:

Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and present the right software alternatives to Revit.

Conduct technical presentations, demos, and workflow explanations to customers across Architecture, Engineering & Construction sectors.

Assist in preparing comparison sheets, technical proposals, and demo assets required for sales discussions.

2. Technical Demonstrations:

Deliver engaging and easy-to-understand demos showcasing software features, workflows, and advantages.

Customize demo scenarios based on customer pain points and project types.

Create benchmark projects, sample models, or walkthroughs to highlight the software capabilities effectively.

3. Customer Interaction & Support:

Provide first-level technical support for customers who are evaluating or using the software.

Handle queries politely and professionally through calls, emails, or screen-sharing sessions.

Document customer issues, follow up promptly, and ensure timely resolution in collaboration with the support team.

4. Collaboration & Knowledge Building:

Work with internal teams to enhance demo content, training material, and documentation.

Stay updated on architectural design tools, BIM trends, and switching workflows from Revit.

Participate in internal product training, sales meetings, and technical discussions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture, OR
  • Completion of a professional certification/course in Revit, BIM, or similar design software (e.g., ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Vectorworks).
  • Strong understanding of architectural or structural drawings.

Technical Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Revit or similar AEC software.
  • Understanding of 2D/3D modeling concepts and BIM workflows.
  • Communication & Soft Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and client-handling abilities.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple, confident, and persuasive manner.
  • Strong learning mindset and willingness to explore new AEC tools.
