1. Operations Management

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations (dining area, kitchen, bar, etc.)
  • Ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers

2. Staff Management

  • Hire, train, and supervise restaurant staff (servers, chefs, bartenders, etc.)
  • Schedule shifts and manage labour costs
  • Conduct performance reviews and handle disciplinary actions
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment

3. Customer Service

  • Ensure excellent customer experience and handle complaints or special requests
  • Monitor feedback (online and in-person) to improve service quality
  • Engage with guests and build customer loyalty

4. Financial Oversight

  • Manage restaurant budgets and control costs
  • Track revenue, expenses, and profitability
  • Analyze financial reports and make strategic decisions
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and POS reconciliation

5. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Maintain licensing (alcohol, food service, etc.)
  • Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions

6. Marketing & Promotions

  • Implement marketing campaigns, promotions, and events
  • Collaborate with marketing teams or manage social media presence
  • Develop strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones

7. Menu Planning (in some cases)

  • Work with chefs to develop or update menus
  • Monitor food quality and presentation
