Job Summary
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Specialist is responsible for managing and securing digital identities across the organization. This role ensures that users have appropriate access to systems and data while maintaining compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations. The IAM Specialist will design, implement, and manage IAM solutions, automate provisioning processes, and support access governance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Access Management:
Administer and manage user access provisioning, de-provisioning, and role-based access controls (RBAC).
- Review and certify user access across systems in accordance with compliance requirements.
Enforce the principle of least privilege and segregation of duties.
Identity Lifecycle Management:
Manage user accounts through the entire lifecycle onboarding, changes, and offboarding.
Integrate IAM solutions with HR systems and enterprise directories (Active Directory, Azure AD, etc.).
IAM System Administration:
Configure and maintain IAM tools such as SailPoint, Okta, Ping Identity, CyberArk, or ForgeRock.
Support Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and federation technologies (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect).
Security & Compliance:
Conduct periodic access reviews, audits, and recertifications to ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, or other frameworks.
Respond to IAM-related security incidents and support forensic investigations.
Automation & Optimization:
Develop and maintain scripts or workflows to automate IAM processes (using PowerShell, Python, or APIs).
Continuously improve IAM processes for scalability and efficiency.
Collaboration:
Work with IT, Security, and Business units to define and enforce identity governance policies.
- Provide technical expertise in IAM during audits and security assessments.
