Patent Officer

Designation: Patent Officer

Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience in patent search, patent drafting, end-to-end patent filing, and handling office action responses/prosecution till life of a patent.

Location: Vellore

Essential Requirements:

• Must be a Registered Patent Agent under the Indian Patent Office (IPO) / have successfully passed the Indian Patent Agent Examination.
• Bachelors or Master's degree in a technical field (Engineering or Science). Candidates with degrees in Mechanical, Electrical, Biotechnology, or Computer Science are highly preferred.
• Strong, demonstrable understanding of Indian and international patent laws

Core Competencies:

• Exceptional analytical skills for conducting prior-art searches and drafting claims effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing legal documents and interacting with stakeholders.
• Proven ability to coordinate and liaise successfully with R&D teams, individual inventors, and external legal counsel.
• Familiarity with patent search software, patent draft software, IP portfolio management tools (preferably)
