IT Infrastructure

Role & responsibilities

Solution design of IT systems and software, especially from infrastructure and security perspective while ensuring that it meets the requirements of the project and to the satisfaction of the client.

Responsibilities:

i. Review and validate technical documentation of IT systems and software applications and suggest recommendations as per needs of project.

ii. Assess IT infrastructure and have capabilities to identify technical and infrastructure gaps, and recommend improvements, design solutions along with associated costing.

iii. Prepare detailed functional requirements, system and infrastructure requirements of IT solutions as per industry standards.

iv. Prepare the infrastructure and security solution and thereby define technical specifications of network and hardware components ensuring aspects of scalability, security, performance and other relevant guidelines.

v. Review and validate proper asset management, capacity planning, including maintenance of server/storage/network components inventory, life cycle management and related documentation.

vi. Review and monitor service level agreements with vendors & end user departments.

vii. Engage the client and implementing partners on required actions to ensure agreed service level agreements.

viii. Facilitate security audit, certification, and security compliance (CERT-IN, MeitY Standards).

Qualification:

i. BE/B.Tech/MCA or equivalent in Computer Science/ Electronics/ IT from Institute/University recognized by UGC/AICTE.

ii. Minimum 10 years of experience in in reputed IT organization(s) and minimum 4 years of experience managing, configuring and

troubleshooting hardware such as servers, firewalls, storage devices etc.

Desirable Experience:

i. Experience in Infrastructure project, implementation, testing, delivery and maintenance (preferable).

ii. Experience in managing large scale ICT systems (servers, storage, cloud, networking, firewalls, databases).

iii. Experience in solution design, system integration, infrastructure architecture for large IT Project. Experience in e-governance project(s) is preferred.

iv. Should have infrastructure solution designing experience on public cloud service providers, preferably in Government Community Cloud and hybrid architecture.

v. Good understanding of infrastructure related service levels and ability to monitor and analyze service levels.

vi. Exposure to GIS solutions, ERP/HRMS, project management systems.

vii. Familiarity with SLAs, service benchmarking, and monitoring frameworks.

viii. Ability to address Key Information Security Management and privacy requirements

ix. Identify risks and vulnerabilities and provide solutions to complex security- related architectural issues.

x. Should have strong analytical and problem solving skills in making the appropriate technical decisions.

xi. Must have experience in Contract Management & Vendor Management.

xii. Good knowledge of SLA Tools and operations.( Eg. IBM or any other tools like CA, BMC, HP etc.)

xiii. Certifications in Security/ Cloud Infrastructure will be preferred.
